Cancer Survivors and Support

The Cancer Survivors and Support Ministry’s mission is to uplift, encourage and support individuals that have been infected and affected by cancer; to minister to one another biblically and emotionally via open conversation about the pain, fears and doubts associated with cancer; and to encourage and support those infected and affected by cancer to continue living vivacious healthy lives through prayer, healthy eating, exercise and completely trust the LORD.

Requirements/How to Join:

*Ministry open to members of Enon and non-members.

Scripture:

Psalms: 18:1-2 “I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”

Meets:

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday at 10:00am

Location:

Enon East – Room 4

Chariots of Light

Chariots of Light Ministry’s goal are to communicate awareness of the contributions and needs of people living with or affected by a disability. The ministry will encourage the Enon Church congregation and others living in the community to tear down the architectural, physical and attitudinal strongholds of inaccessibility and unawareness that restrict the quality life.

Requirements/How to Join:

*Ministry open to members and non-members with disabilities and supportive family members or friends.

Scripture:

I Timothy 4:12 “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

Meets:

Every 2nd Sunday at 12:30pm (following 10am worship service)

Location:

Enon East – Room 2 in the Family Life Center

Couples Ministry

The Ministry Mission is to enrich marriages through the study of God’s word. The Couples Ministry provides a positive forum to help you and your spouse have a more fulfilling and joyous relationship. Using biblical principles as the road map, we provide tools and exercises to enhance your marriage in the areas of love, finances, raising children, interacting with in-laws, the duties in the home and so much more. Because the institution of marriage is so complex, the husband and wife wear many hats and some may be interchangeable for the success of the marriage.

Requirements/How to Join:

*Must be engaged or married

Scripture:

Mark 10:8 – 9 “And the two shall become one flesh; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Meets:

2nd Fridays at 7:00pm

Location:

Enon East – Family Life Center or Choir Room

Fire Escape

The Fire Escape Ministry is Enon’s Young Adult Ministry open to all young adults’ ages 18-30 that are dedicated to the cause of Christ and feel led to serve. Fire Escape is a ministry where young adult Christians can gather and escape the fires of the world (stress, drugs, secular recreation, etc). The purpose of the Fire Escape is to bridge the gap and increase the level of communication and fellowship of young adult believers. This will enable young adult Christians to identify, encourage, and relate with other believers from the same generational age group who share the same convictions, beliefs and struggles.

Requirements/How to Join:

*Must be between the ages of 18-25

Scripture:

Jude 23 “Snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy mixed with fear – hating even the clothing stained by corrupt flesh.”

Meets:

3rd Saturday, 1:00-3:00pm
Young Adult Bible Study: Sundays at 8:30am
Café 1st Friday at 9:00pm – 1:00am

Kingdom Opportunity

Our goal is to steadily increase the number of saints participating in ministries through our bi-annual Kingdom Opportunities Expos; fellowship with the different house clusters throughout the year and daily interaction with saints as they visit our Kingdom Opportunities Kiosk.

I Timothy 1:12 “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.”

Men of Enon (M.E.T.)

Our Mission is to build a community of Christian men to support and enrich the evangelism efforts of our church. Through Christian fellowship, prayer, and study of the Word of God, the Men of Enon support each other by way of their Christian walk and reach out into the community to connect with men who are unsaved so that they too might come to recognize and understand the glory and goodness of God.

Requirements/How to Join:

*A man is a member of the Men of Enon upon his joining Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. He must, however, complete his discipleship classes and receive the Right Hand of Fellowship.

Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”

Men of Issachar

The Men of Issachar are charged with the responsibility of protecting, supporting and serving (God’s) people and His church safely… for those who come to serve the Lord and are led to worship with us.

Requirements/How to Join:

Scripture:

I Chronicles 12:32 “And of the children of Issachar, [which were men] that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them [were] two hundred; and all their brethren [were] at their commandment.”

Meets:

2nd Wednesday at 6:00pm

Oh Taste and See

A Christian-based culinary ministry seeking to educate members with hands-on instruction and demonstrations. Areas of focus will be food safety, proper nutrition, food preparation and delectable flavoring and presentation of food.

Requirements/How to Join:

*Open to members and non-members. Must be registered by the Servant Leader

Seniors Fellowship

The Senior Fellowship Ministry’s mission is to be positive role models by helping others, giving of ourselves, sharing our time, energy, wisdom, and experience with the young and less fortunate, and spreading peace, joy and love to all. We seek to assist the senior population at Enon and the community in matters of the heart, health, spirituality, recreation and fellowship through inreach, outreach, and upreach.

Requirements/How to Join:

*Must be age 55 or above. Open to members and non-members.

Scripture:

Ephesians 4:32 “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Meets:

3rd Wednesdays at 9:00am

Line Dancing every Thursday from 10:30am until 12:00pm

Sisters in Christ

The Sisters in Christ Ministry provides fellowship and spiritual support to women in identifying and developing their gifts for the Kingdom of God. Sisters develop and strengthen intimate friendships with other women, and provide opportunities to serve and reach our community for Christ.

Temple Builders

The Temple Builders Ministry mission is to provide a spiritually based fitness program focused on the ideal of honoring the human body as a fit and healthy temple of the Father! This fellowship of Enon members and friends is designed to encompass biblical principles that lead to a healthy lifestyle of exercise and nutrition.

Requirements/How to Join:

I Corinthians 6:19-20 “Do you not know your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were brought with a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”

The Fellowship Community at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church facilitate and give leadership to various homogeneous groups within the body of Christ.

Mission: The primary mission of the fellowship ministries is to interface with members and promote/develop small group interaction continually, thereby assuring member connection to ministries at Enon Tabernacle.

Acts 5:38-39 "Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.
