The Discipleship Community consists of the following ministries: New Image Discipleship Ministry, African Heritage Ministry, Finance Ministry, Parent Empowerment Ministry, the Multi-Media Discipleship Ministry and Adult Literacy/GED Ministry. Youth Christian Development
Sunday School is one source for youth to engage in and to learn more about the Bible. All Sunday School classes are under open enrollment with no registration required. They are offered throughout the year every Sunday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Enon East in various locations (noted below).
Genesis - ages 3-6 years old - Family Life Center - The Genesis classes exist to teach children the Word of God and His plan for their lives. We teach about God's love and His principles with the goal that one day the children will accept Jesus Christ as their own personal Lord and Savior. Genesis classes are not offered on 1st Sunday. All parents must sign in their children for classes in the Family Life Center.
Pre-K-Kindergarten - Family Life Center - Children need to see God's unconditional love both at home and in church. They need to be surrounded with an environment of love, acceptance and learning about God's love through Jesus Christ.
Grades 1 & 2 - Family Life Center - Children learn biblical truths such as God is strong and reliable. He is Holy and ever present to hear their prayers.
Grades 3 & 4 - Family Life Center - Children learn best by doing. They learn that God is King and that we are loyal to Him. They are actively participating in their spiritual growth through the Holy Spirit while discovering God on a deeper level.
Grades 5 & 6 - Room 13 - God has a purpose and plan for each of our lives. The children learn how to discover how God and His authority plays a significant role in their lives. They learn about the power of the Holy Word of God and how it can provide answers to life's questions.
Grades 7 & 8 - Room 12 - Students learn that they are loved and accepted by God. They learn to build lasting relationships and how to apply biblical principles to their lives daily.
High School - Room 14 - Realizing the presence of God in their lives, these students under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, are trained how to walk in their faith with God as a teenagers and the challenges they represent. Additionally, our high school students learn how to share their faith in God with others.
Youth Family Fellowship - Youth Bible Study is held on Tuesday evening during our Family Fellowship at 7:00pm here at Enon East. Our children are actively engage in developing their relationship with our Lord and Savior. Children are taught on their grade level, bible stories, principles and tenants of our faith in order that they will grow with the Word of God to become healthy, and productive adults who are grounded in the Word.
