The Discipleship Community consists of the following ministries: New Image Discipleship Ministry, African Heritage Ministry, Finance Ministry, Parent Empowerment Ministry, the Multi-Media Discipleship Ministry and Adult Literacy/GED Ministry. The Discipleship department is to educate and edify the people of God in ways that assist them to grow spiritually and find wholeness through Jesus Christ

Mission: The Discipleship Community is designed to help educate and edify the people of God in ways that will assist them to grow spiritually, and to find wholeness through their relationship with Our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ

Vision: We believe that Enon "is a place where people encounter God", to that end we strive to ensure that as disciples of Christ we continue to grow and develop spiritually. It is our prayer that as we study the Word of God we will be forever changed into the full image of Christ our Lord.

Scripture: 11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Christian Education

’The purpose of Christian Education is to develop our brothers and sisters to become more mature in the Word of God.  These classes encourage individuals to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Christian Education includes various areas, one being the traditional Sunday School class where we learn about the bible.  All Sunday School classes are under open enrollment with no registration required.  They are offered throughout the year and classes are held every Sunday from 8:30am-9:30 am at Enon East in various locations (noted below) and at Enon West.

Christian Education

Men's Sunday School - Enon East Room 11-This class closely examines the Holy Scriptures for practical application, and spiritual growth.  (MOI)

Women's Sunday School - Enon East Room 15-Using the Direction Series by Urban Ministries Incorporated, the focus is on different biblical themes that inspire, enrich, and encourage fellowship while learning about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Young Adult Sunday School - Enon East Room 7-Designed for our young adult population, 18-29, this class promotes strong Christian values while studying the Word of God for this age group.  (MOI)

General Adult Sunday School - Enon West Main Sanctuary-Held after 6:45 AM Worship Service using the Direction Series by Urban Ministries Incorporated.   The class focuses on different biblical themes throughout the year that inspire, enrich, and encourage fellowship while learning about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bible 101 Quick Start to the Bible - Enon East, Room 5, 8:30 AM-9:30 AM-This class simply  enables you to read the Bible and understand the context in which it is written.  

My Brother's Keeper - Enon East Room 6-This is a non-traditional class that seeks biblical solutions for issues impacting most men today.  These include personal relationships, leadership, financial stewardship, anger management, conflict resolution, and breaking stubborn habits.  Men are encouraged to take an active part in classroom discussion. Support systems are established to ensure accountability and to promote spiritual growth. (MOI)

Power of Prayer - Enon East Room 9-Whether you are a babe in Christ or are spiritually mature, this class will benefit and inspire everyone to cultivate a deeper relationship with God through prayer; ultimately providing answers on how to pray, when should you pray and much more.  

Power of the Holy Spirit - Enon East Room 8-Learn about the Holy Spirit of God who enables   every believer to know and experience the power of God.  Realize the benefits of having the Spirit of the Living God within everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
